IDENTITY CRISIS

Some time ago two baby chickens were apparently abandoned by their parents and a good Samaritan took pity on them and took them home to raise.  When it was thought that they were big enough they were returned to the farm, but still they were being shunned by the rest of the "Poultry Community".  Yet again a coffee shop client took pity on them, took them home and named them Chicken and Licken.  Sadly Chicken drowned in a pool and Licken came home.  It turns out that Licken is a guinea fowl and not a chicken.

Human intervention has left a huge imprint on her life and hence her obsession with people and total disregard for the other birds.  She is often seen running madly, wings flapping after Sandy (manger of the Second Cup Coffee Shop) and loves a cuddle.

Here are some photos of this beautiful soul.

  1. Well Guinie (alias Licken) is now so humanised. She loves TV and talks to the people on the screen non stop, lovingly pecking "kisses" on the screen. She had us in stitches the other evening with her antics.
Admin is a nightmare with her around.. she "walks" on my computer adding her tuppence to what ever I am trying to do.
